Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how and when we collect, process and share the information obtained through the use of our services on the website www.pikicasonca.si.
Information we collect
To fulfil your order, you need to give us certain information, such as your name, email address, postal address, payment details and details of the product you are ordering.
Why we need your data and how we use it
We have several legal bases for collecting, processing and sharing your data, including:
- providing our services – we use your data to fulfil your order, resolve disputes and provide customer support;
- your explicit consent, given e.g. by subscribing to our mailing list, which you can withdraw at any time;
- where necessary, to comply with legal obligations, court orders or legal claims, e.g. keeping information about your purchases if required by tax law; and
- where necessary, for our legitimate interests (e.g. providing and improving our services), provided these do not override your rights or interests. We use your data to provide the services you have requested and in our legitimate interest of improving our services;
Sharing and disclosure of information
Information about our customers is important to our business. We share your personal data only for very limited reasons and in very limited circumstances, as set out below:
- service providers
We entrust some functions and services of our business to reputable third parties, e.g. delivery companies. We share your personal data with our partners only to the extent necessary to perform these services.
- compliance with the law
We may collect, process, store and share your data if we believe in good faith that this is necessary to:
- respond to a legal claim or a government request;
- enforce our agreements, terms and policies;
- prevent, investigate and address fraud and other illegal activities, and security or technical issues;
- protect the rights, property and safety of our customers or others.
Data retention
We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide our services and as described in this Privacy Policy. However, we may be required to keep this data longer due to legal and regulatory obligations, dispute resolution and enforcement of our agreements. Data that forms part of accounting records (e.g. data on issued invoices) is kept for at least ten (10) years, as required by the Slovenian Companies Act (ZGD-1). Data not linked to invoices or accounting (e.g. newsletter subscriptions) is kept until you withdraw your consent or until the purpose for which it was collected ends.
Transfer of personal data outside the EU
Your data may be stored and processed by other web hosting providers in the EU. As a result, your personal data may be transferred to a jurisdiction with different data protection laws and government supervision rules than your own. Where your data is transferred outside the EU (e.g. to service providers based in the USA), we rely on appropriate legal bases for such transfers, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the provider's certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, where available.
Your rights
If you live in certain territories, including the EU, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal data. While some of these rights apply generally, certain rights apply only in limited cases. These rights are described below:
- Access
You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you by contacting us using the contact details below.
- Change, restriction and erasure
You may also have the right to change, restrict the use of or erase your personal data. Except in exceptional circumstances (e.g. where we are legally obliged to keep the data), we will generally delete your data at your request
- Objection
You may object to:
– the processing of some of your personal data on the basis of our legitimate interests,
– receiving our marketing messages despite your earlier explicit consent to receive them. In such cases, we will delete your personal data unless there are compelling and legitimate grounds for further use of the data or it is necessary for legal reasons.
- Complaint
If you live in the EU and wish to raise concerns about our use of your personal data (without prejudice to any of your other rights), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.
